Empowering Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Ashland, VA.  Their core service is providing free in-person tax preparation for families and individuals with income of $60,000 or less.  Empowering Neighbors offers this service in partnership with the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg and with the Internal Revenue Service through their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
